Small pieces of storage, explained plainly.
BeeFind uses essential sign-in, abuse-protection, and preference storage to keep the workspace secure and usable. The optional on-site chat assistant may also use its own storage to provide and remember a conversation. BeeFind does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural tracking cookies.

Essential authentication and security storage
When a supported OAuth sign-in flow is started, BeeFind creates a short-lived, secure state cookie to bind the sign-in callback to the browser that started it. It expires after about ten minutes and helps prevent sign-in request forgery.
Firebase Authentication may also use browser storage to keep an authenticated session available between page loads. This is necessary to keep a member signed in to their private workspace. Clearing this storage or using private browsing can require you to sign in again.
BeeFind also uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise through Firebase App Check to help protect authentication and Firebase-backed service access from automated abuse. This may use browser storage and interaction signals necessary for that security purpose; it is not used for advertising or cross-site behavioural profiling.
Preference storage
BeeFind uses a first-party sidebar_state cookie to remember whether the workspace navigation is expanded or collapsed. It contains only a true/false preference and expires after seven days.
The application can also keep non-sensitive display preferences, such as a selected colour theme or sidebar width, in your browser’s local storage. These values are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Optional chat assistant storage
BeeFind offers an optional on-site chat assistant provided by Jotform. When the assistant is available or opened, Jotform may set or read browser storage needed to provide the chat, remember the conversation state, or apply its service settings.
Chat messages are handled by Jotform for the assistant experience. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, secret keys, or sensitive personal information through the chat. Review our privacy notice for more detail about this processing.
What we do not use
BeeFind does not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, cross-site behavioural profiles, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use cookie data to sell audiences or to follow you around other websites.
If this changes, we will update this notice before introducing the new optional technology and, where required, provide an appropriate choice mechanism.
How to manage browser storage
You can block, delete, or review cookies through your browser controls. You can also clear site data, local storage, and indexed storage from the browser’s privacy settings. Browser vendors provide the relevant instructions for their products.
Removing essential sign-in storage may log you out. Removing preference storage resets the workspace display to its default layout. Blocking cookies or browser storage entirely may prevent sign-in and private-workspace features from functioning correctly.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if BeeFind adds or removes browser-storage technologies. The date at the top indicates when this version was last reviewed.
